You Were Speaking Russian, Bob! (Black Russian + Fennel + Caraway)

Ever since we fell in love with the Dude and his ability to throw back White Russians, we have been looking forward to creating a plant-based version. And while this version is actually our twist on a Black Russian (the White Russian’s dairy-free predecessor), we still attribute the inspiration to the Dude! With just 3 INGREDIENTS and no shaking required, this is an incredibly quick and easy cocktail to whip up, not to mention just how rich and decadent it is! The infusion of the fennel and caraway seeds not only compliments the sweetness of the coffee liqueur, it also brings out delicious roasted notes from the cold brew. Packed with a host of flavors that are perfect for the holidays, this is the perfect cocktail to hand to all of your guests as they shuffle inside and out of the chilly weather! Or (even better!) mix one of these up for yourself as you curl up in a blanket on a cold night this winter - we promise it will warm you up!


For Cocktail:

For Infused Vodka:

  • 1 cup vodka

  • 1 tbsp fennel seeds

  • 1 tbsp caraway seeds


  1. To make infused vodka, combine vodka, fennel seeds, and caraway seeds in an airtight container and let it infuse for 20 hours. After 20 hours, strain out the seeds and store in an airtight container.

  2. Combine infused vodka, coffee liqueur, and cold brew in a mixing glass and fill with ice.

  3. Stir and strain into a chilled coupe glass.

  4. Enjoy!
